mahjong soul why isnt this hand all simples

Then a couple days ago, I decided to check out FFXIV's mahjong implementation. So I'd always been interested in learning mahjong, but was never really able to wrap my head around it. Hope nobody minds if I resurrect this thread! It was risky but it worked! I hit my pair because I had them afraid of all green yakuman! Next round the conceal/reveal were back in play and I could let the players build the pot for me so I didn't need high score hands. I had a couple bamboo chis but my wait was on my pair.which was pin and that I had discarded several in a row of first to bait em. Since I had the most pin to discard I did those then man. First i dumped my honors and then I concealed my next several tiles and then shed tiles by suit. Took the risk to spend points to conceal discards to make it look like my hand was fishing an all bamboo flush or all green hand. No one would declare riichi anymore and no one spent anything on conceal/reveal for 2 rounds. Next round two in the room are so poor they cant play conceal/reveal tactics if they wanted.ĭid this again later but scared the room too early. Easy to hit while they fill the pot for me. 4 or 5 tile straights turn into these easy but dont always yield high points or furiten easy. Instead im focusing my hand on a multisided wait at all costs. It looks like i feel tapped out but im fine. Next round folks conceal/reveal like crazy and I do nothing. He fails to tsumo and someone else won round 1. They declare riichi earlt and I conceal/lock 5 or 6 tiles I discard to block them calling. Set myself a 15000 limit on what I'd spend to draw em in. Round 1 waited for someone to declare riichi. I used the fact that instead of needing to make a big hand for points I could just force the room to make the pot bigger for me to win on easier hands and use my points as war funds.
